Maths Main Lesson, wildflowers and felting...

Nature table that reflects the coming spring

Parts of the classroom which have changed colour as the season changes

Drawing wildflowers
We do gardening and have planted a wildflower garden. Kevin, RSPB and friend, has come into help us. Kevin is very au fait with agricultural issues and how farmers can plant for wildlife. He did a talk on the kinds of flowers we had in the mix and then showed the children some of the main varieties. They then drew it from the botanical drawings. This prefigures Class Five's Main Lesson on Botany. Kai is doing a marigold.

As is Luciano...all drawings have gnomes in them!

Paddy plus gets orders from King Equals

We are doing addition and multiplication right now. Paddy Plus has been asked by King Equals to add up all the crystal buttons he has in his cave. The children had to look for the buttons and then together as well as individually they counted the buttons and added.
